Why do some atheists say they know no god exists?

Because they are so delusional they can't follow logic. Like Stephen Hawking who said that Heaven doesn't exist because there is no evidence for such a place in the physical universe. Obviously, since God created the physical universe, and God exists in Heaven, Heaven is outside the physical universe.
