Should I just give up?

Alright, so there's this guy that I have some history with got into this really stupid argument. The last thing he said was "Leave me alone, please." And we haven't talked for almost a month now. That's the longest we haven't spoken to each other. So, me being stubborn as I am, I'm obeying his wishes. But I'm starting to get really sad that we'll never speak again. He did once say "Regardless, I'm here for you." But it doesn't seem like that anymore. I don't know what I should do. Should I give up and leave him alone like he asked? Or suck up my pride and say something?
