Is SMIT / Sikkim Manipal institute of Technology a good college?

i am getting Computer Science there. How are the placements? I found that all the students are placed by TCS only. Is this true? And how is its reputation? Is is better to join SMIT or a reasonably average engg. College in Bangalore??
